Product Review: Nioxin

In the blog I wrote about textures and recommend Diamax, this product has worked on so many of my clients. It is perfect for thinning hair. It does not grow it protects what you have. This product increases the hairs diameter which makes the hair look thicker and fuller. It also penetrates  the hair shaft to help strengthen the hair's resilience against breakage. Diamax can be used  daily morning or evening on wet or dry hair, natural or chemically treated hair before you apply any styling products. Nioxin  also has great shampoo for thinning hair and conditioners. Yes, If you are using Rogain you can use this too.

It's A Man Thing!

Back when I was growing up my dad used this stuff called vitailis and that greasy looking stuff kept his hair in place. How things have changed for the men today. Men scalp produces more than twice the volume of oil than a woman, that's because a mans pores are double the size of hers. They may have more scalp issues scalp acne, eczema and if balding basil cells.
Now men are becoming a lot more informed about whats good for them, whether they are going to a Barber Shop or to Hair Salon. In early years they just used a bar of soap to shampoo their with. Now they are using better products and not what the wife uses. You men can also ditch the the dandruff shampoos and turn to something a little more natural that will keep your scalp healthy and clean. Proper hair maintenance for men goes beyond slapping on shampoo and running  a comb through  your tresses. It involves using good products, getting regular haircuts, and taking care of your scalp.
It is ok to shampoo often as long as you are using proper product in your hair, you can shampoo and condition everyday as many times as you need to without any side effects. Just use some common sense if your hair is dry don't use a shampoo  that removes oil, your just drying out your scalp.  There is a myth if you shampoo to often your hair will fall out, but it is not true. If it is going to fall out it is in your blood.
Most men do not use conditioners but what they don't know is conditioners are  necessities  because a healthy scalp means healthy hair.
When it comes to styling products, pliable ones are better to use because gels seem to get hard and stiff looking. Pliable products aren't to stiff and you can move your hair around. Sometimes you'll spend a little more on a product, but you will not half to use half the bottle on your head each time.
Keep your hair cut about every four to six weeks. Be sure to keep unwanted hair off the ears and get that neckline shaved. Some men wax ears it retards hair a little longer. Don't forget your eyebrows they need to be trimmed so that you don't look like Bobby Knight.  One more thing about hair maintenance don't forget the nose, it needs to be trimmed also. Just keeping you in shape hair wise!

Manage Summer Strands

Did you know! Dry hair and frizz go hand in hand. If you hair looks dyed fried and laid aside. Then I would say your hair is parched, it will suck up the humidity in the air, making it swell up and look even more frizzy. It's inevitable that hair will become unruly to some degree in the summer, especially with trauma caused by heat, sun and humidity. Summer hair can be dull, coarse, frizzy and hard to style. Our strands take such a beating during the summer months UV rays, chlorine, salt and humidity take a toll on the hair, resulting in brassy color, shineless strands and brittle locks. The easiest way to get rid of damage is to cut off the affected portions.
Excessive heat can send oil production into over drive because the body tends to produce more sebum as the temperature rises. With all of this oil our body is producing and combined with residue from styling products can leave hair flat and limp. You can reduce the extent of damage by using the right products to protect and repair hair. When we were younger we used lemon juice and other things that would give us those natural highlites from the sun. By the end of summer some of us had either bright orange hair or brassy  that is when we all got our back to school hair cuts.
The first step to good hair care is cleansing and conditioning with the right products. You want to revive and restore hair's elasticity to promote stronger hair and to fight summer stresses. Plus restore hair's manageability and shine while combating the harmful effects of salt and sun exposure. If your hair is really damaged consider using conditioning mask. Before going into water be sure to wet your hair first and spray on a leave in conditioner so your hair doesn't absorb much of the chlorine or salt from the sea. After swimming  be sure to rinse or shampoo hair and then condition, let dry naturally if possible.
